The annual Festival of Lights has been Greensboro’s favorite holiday tradition for over 30 years. The Lighting of the Christmas Tree happens at 5:20pm in the city centre, followed by sing-alongs and merry-making of all kinds.
The Troubadour Concert starts at 7:30pm, so you’ll have plenty of time to stroll and meander your way past outdoor performances, Santa Klaus in Hamburger Square, and hot chocolate stands on your way to the nearby, historic Carolina Theatre. You can also take a family pic at a social photo booth on your way, and warm up at one of many warming stations.
All the shops stay open late for the Festival of Lights. So you might even be able to roast a s’more or get one last holiday treat as you make your way back onto the city streets to cap off a most memorable holiday evening!
